Debit Card Access for Your Batjali Account

We accept Visa and Mastercard debit cards where local banks permit online merchant transactions. Your card connects to the same account dashboard that handles bKash, Nagad and Rocket, so you can switch between wallets and cards without logging out.

How We Handle Card Data

Gateway Encryption

Card details travel through a PCI-DSS certified gateway. We never store your full card number or CVV on our own servers; the gateway tokenises each transaction and returns a reference code to our system.

Cardholder Checks

We match the name on your Batjali account to the name on your card and bank statement. Withdrawals go only to cards you have previously deposited with, which limits third-party fraud.

Issuer Limits

Your bank sets transaction limits and may block certain merchant categories. We display the gateway response code when a decline happens so you know whether to contact your bank or adjust the amount.

Dispute Process

If you see a Batjali charge you did not authorise, contact us within fourteen days with your transaction reference. We share gateway logs with your bank to resolve chargebacks and disputed payments.

CARD HELP

Support Paths for Card Transactions

Declined Transaction If your card declines, confirm with your bank that online merchant payments are active and that you have not reached your daily spending cap. We see the decline code but cannot override bank rules.
Withdrawal Delay Card withdrawals take one to three business days because funds must clear the payment gateway and your issuing bank. Check your bank statement rather than the card balance for the exact posting time.
Verification Request We may ask you to upload a photo of the front of your card with the middle digits masked, plus a bank statement, to confirm ownership before processing your first withdrawal to that card.

When you choose debit card at the cashier, you enter your sixteen-digit card number, expiry and CVV. The transaction routes through a payment gateway that checks your bank balance in real time. Deposits usually land in your Batjali wallet within two to five minutes if your issuing bank approves the merchant category. Withdrawals reverse the path: you request a payout to the

same card you deposited with, we verify ownership, and funds appear on your bank statement in one to three business days depending on your bank's processing cycle. Cards issued by banks in Dhaka, Chittagong and other Bangladesh cities work the same way as long as international or online transactions are enabled on your account. If a transaction declines, check with your bank

that merchant payments are switched on and that your daily limit covers the amount.

Debit Card Glossary

What is PCI-DSS?

Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard — a set of rules that any business handling card data must follow to keep card numbers, expiry dates and CVV codes secure during transmission and storage.

What does 3D Secure mean?

An extra authentication step where your bank sends a one-time code to your phone before approving a card payment. Visa calls it Verified by Visa; Mastercard calls it Mastercard SecureCode.

What is a payment gateway?

A service that connects our cashier to the card networks and your bank. It encrypts your card details, checks your balance, and returns an approval or decline code to us within seconds.

What does 'issuing bank' mean?

The bank that gave you the debit card. It holds your funds and decides whether to approve or decline each transaction based on your balance, daily limit and merchant-category rules.

What is a chargeback?

A dispute you file with your bank to reverse a card transaction. Your bank investigates, and if it rules in your favour, the payment is pulled back from the merchant account.

What does CVV stand for?

Card Verification Value — the three or four-digit security code printed on the back of your card. Entering it proves you hold the physical card, not just a stolen card number.

Debit Card FAQ

We accept Visa and Mastercard debit cards issued by banks that permit online merchant transactions. Your bank must allow international or e-commerce payments; purely domestic cards may decline at the gateway.

Most card deposits land in your Batjali wallet within two to five minutes after your bank approves the transaction. If it takes longer, check with your bank that the payment left your account.

No. Withdrawals return to the same card you used for deposit. This rule prevents money laundering and protects both you and us from third-party fraud attempts.

Common reasons include insufficient balance, daily spending limit reached, merchant category blocked by your bank, or online payments disabled. Contact your bank with the decline code we show on screen.

One to three business days. The gateway sends funds back to your issuing bank, which posts them to your statement according to its own schedule. Weekends and public holidays extend the timeline.

We do not charge a Batjali fee, but the payment gateway or your bank may apply a small transaction fee or currency-conversion charge. Check your bank statement for the exact amount debited.
